It’s not everyday that you get to combine two of your biggest passions , (which for me are fitness and coaching people on how to have fulfilling and healthy relationships) and make them both part of your day job . But that’s exactly what happened when I started writing for the biggest chain of gyms in Australia .Fitness First isn’t your average sweat club , they not only have great facilities but also run their very own magazine which is full of relevant health advice , fashion and beauty tips , technology and motoring reviews plus ideas on where to travel. You could say they have taken a lifestyle and fitness to a whole new level ! So needless to say I was stoked when they decided to give me a go after I managed to convince them that working out our relationships was just as important as working out our bodies.
My first article is in this month’s issue which can be viewed either online here or in the mag which can be found in any of their gyms. This article is all about how social media can become the third wheel in our relationships and how the rise of the “fitspo” or fitness inspiration model has blurred boundaries on what is acceptable when it comes to following influencers. Let’s face it , sometimes a few innocent “likes ” of a scantily clad “fitness model” can escalate into a very heated argument with out partner!
