1: What is your biggest challenge and greatest achievement to date?

My biggest achievement to date would have to be the #EMBRACEYOURBODY by MOVE with AMK  Campaign. It all started with an idea to raise awareness on social media about positive body image and it ended up becoming bigger than I had ever imagined it to be. With the story being shared in the media and also girls and women from all over the world participating in the movement!

2:Who influences and inspires you daily?

My Sisters. They are my rocks and my mirrors. They make me a better person always motivate and inspire me to be better.

3: How do you think the media and social media impact women’s self -esteem and image?

I think the media and social media play a huge role in women’s’ self esteem. Sometimes it may lead to women believing they need to look a certain way in order to feel happy, beautiful and accepted. Social media is such a powerful tool that can be either good or bad, depending on how it is used or how it is portrayed. I like to use social media in a good way to spread awareness and help girls and women everywhere love themselves and be the best person they can be. One thing that worries me the most is the young girls who idolise famous women who are either surgically enhanced or have manipulated the photo in some way or another.

4: What do you think is the greatest challenge for women nowadays?

I think the greatest challenge women face nowadays is trying to be true to themselves. We live in a world so manipulated by others that it is extremely easy to lose yourself in order to please others. I can only hope that every woman comes to a time in their journey where they are brave enough to be true to themselves in every way.

5: How did you overcome your greatest fears?

Overcoming my greatest fears had so much to do with my mindset. I think the fear of failing, or trying something new or anything really is so powerful if it is fed. I think the key to overcoming any fear is to believe in yourself, be positive, have faith, surround yourself with people who truly care for you and ultimately understanding that everything happens for a reason.

6:  Define what women should see as beauty?

Beauty comes from within. Beauty is the way you think, the way you talk, the way you treat others and the way you treat yourself. If you have a beautiful heart, you will always be beautiful.

7: Where does your value come from?

My value comes from my family. They have raised me to see the best in people, treat everybody equally, respect others, be humble, kind and grateful.

8: What advice would you give to women struggling with image issues and bullies?

If anybody is putting you down, please know that it says more about them then it does about you. Nobody puts another person down or bullies others unless they are having their own issues. So if somebody is bullying you, try not to take it to heart and never EVER let it stop you from being you.

“Short, tall, lean or curvy.. whatever you may be, Embrace your body and work with what you got. Ditch the unrealistic goals you may have and work towards a better you! You can’t fight genetics but you can definitely fight that negative attitude! Be positive and work it” – MOVE with AMK

9: What do you think women need more of in life?

We need to surround ourselves with people of value. You are the company you keep – simple as that. Be wise about who you choose to spend your time with because at the end of the day you will be a reflection of them in some way. Make sure your friendship circle is filled with people who genuinely care for you, want the best for you and will do anything to remind you of your worth when you are feeling down.

10: What exciting things can we expect to see from you and your blog this year?

I have so much planned for this year! A lot more projects and some new campaigns – I can’t reveal anything just yet but stay posted because I am so excited to share what I have been working so hard on!
