Hello to my Readers
Well it’s a little late to say Happy New Year and Merry Christmas so instead I’ll just a big HELLO to you all and apologise for my absence. For those that have been following my journey you will know that I moved to a tropical island last year and unfortunately had little to no internet! So needless to say those regular posts were quite hard to update as the technology seemed to allude me…as well as the language…and fresh food and everything else!
At the end of 2013 I wrote a note to all my readers about my journey for that year in a nutshell and the challenges in love and life I went through. Too much to repeat you can read it here: A Christmas note to my Readers” . I’m happy to say that 2014 was a complete turnaround year for me! Talk about chalk and cheese, I went from being single, heartbroken and helpless to completely healed and ready to fall in love with my new man .To summarise, I met my now fiancé on a Valentine’s day photo shoot ( what a story to tell the kids?!) where literally it was love at first site; I even turned to the camera man that day and said I was going to marry this man ( like when you know you know!) and 3 months later I was packing my things and moving to a French South pacific island to live with him , 6 months after that he proposed to me on top of a mountain ! Not only is my future husband officially a knight who grew up in a castle , flies helicopters for a living, French and rides motorbikes , he is also the most incredibly generous , kind , intelligent and selfless man I have ever known. For years I went through rejection, heartache and about everything else you’re not meant to go through, my heart and soul had been walked over and it was a long process of healing and learning to love myself unconditionally as God has, that helped me prepare myself for the true love that awaited me. And yes I got the fairytale, I finally had made a way for a man to love me the way I was always intended to be loved: fully, unconditionally and deeply.
Now it’s not without its challenges; especially living in a foreign country, learning a new language and sacrificing some of my life and career to follow him, but if not for these adventures I would not be able to share all the lessons I have learnt along the way with my readers.
Needless to say there is a book in the making and Bella and Darcy is still growing everyday with emails from fans all over the world asking to hear more.
I am continuing to still bog and write for online dating sites and magazines all around the globe and have been nominated for a few different blogging awards; in short this is still just the beginning for Bella and Darcy! This year will mark the 3 rd anniversary for my blog and I hope and pray that it remains a source of hope , wisdom and relevance for all my female ( and male) readers out there, because the best is yet to come.
Lastly I just want to say to all my girls not to lose hope, don’t settle and don’t give up. Your dreams and hearts desires are not unrealistic and they are worthy to come true. It may be a long journey but it’s the times of trials that build our character, show us our inner strength and prepare us for the next season of happiness. Do not give up on finding and building true love, because it hasn’t given up on you.
Love Renee xx
